Piping Insulation

While we offer several types of pipe insulation, there are some things that remain constant when you choose Insultherm to fabricate and install thermal insulation materials for piping.

  • Installation turn-around for our thermal pipe insulation and pipe insulation jacketing is typically 3 to 5 days.
  • Our staff can help specify the right insulation for your proposed application.
  • Our sales personnel have one of the most comprehensive knowledge bases of professionals in the industry.

Fiberglass

Depending on temperature, service type, and location of the piping, a different types of pipe insulation are used to maintain the performance and longevity of the pipe system.

Perlite Pipe Insulation

High temp pipe insulation like Perlite is an excellent product for application on high temperature piping and equipment because of its compressive strength, low thermal conductivity and corrosion inhibiting properties. Perlite is the preferred heat resistant pipe insulation material for stainless steel pipe which is susceptible to stress corrosion cracking at operating temperatures above 140°F (60°C).

Calcium Silicate Pipe Insulation

Calcium Silicate piping insulation is a high temperature, abuse-resistant pipe and block insulation with exceptional structural strength for use on systems operating up to 1200°F (650°C). Calcium Silicate Pipe and Block Insulation is the preferred product for application on high temperature piping and equipment.

FOAMGLAS® Pipe Insulation

FOAMGLAS® cellular glass insulation, is ideal for pipes, equipment, vessels, tanks, chemical processing and above and underground steam and chilled water piping. FOAMGLAS® has operating temperatures from -450°F to +900°F (-268°C to +482°C). This makes it a great candidate for cold storage pipe insulation.

Mineral Wool Pipe Insulation

Mineral wool pipe insulation is a non-combustible, fire resistant, water repellent yet vapor permeable insulation material. Mineral wool effectively reduces noise while providing excellent thermal performances. This high temperature pipe insulation is ideal for steam and process pipe systems operating at temperatures up to 1200°C.

Polyisocyanurate Pipe Insulation

Polyisocyanurate Pipe Insulation is a closed cell, high performance insulation for pipe, vessel, equipment and duct applications. TRYMER® Polyisocyanurate Pipe Insulation can be used within the service range of -297°F to 300°F (-183°C to 149°C).

Pipe Jacketing

Pipe jacketing is very important for maintaining the temperature of the material it contains. Our industrial pipe insulation and pipe jacketing are typically combined for optimal thermal performance.

Aluminum Pipe Jacketing

Aluminum Roll Jacketing is recommended for insulated piping, tanks and vessels. It is available as a stucco embossed or smooth finish.

Stainless Steel Insulation Jacketing

Stainless steel has a melt point of approximately 2500°F providing optimum fire protection. Stainless Steel jacketing is recommended for insulated piping, tanks and vessels of multiple diameters.

Pipe Insulation Blankets

Insultherm provides services to insulate pipe and tank appurtenances. A variety of pipe blankets can be used to insulate miles of multi-sized pipe that transport materials around your facility. Removable pipe insulation blankets are often needed to provide thermal and personal protection on areas that must be easily accessible.
